Mil-Spouse Weekly Round Up
Hello Lovelies!
I'm stoked to be hosting this week's Mil-Spouse Round Up.
I can't believe this is the 37th week!
Its a genius idea from the amazing Roller Coaster and any Milie can join in.
Just link up to your favorite blog post of the week (from your own blog), post the Weekly Round Up photo in today's post and let everyone know you're linking up so people can come join in too.
As for me, I'll just give a quick intro for all those new to my piece of blog world.
I am Mrs. S. and I am married to the incredible Mr. Superman.
Mr. Superman recently returned from his first deployment in Assghanisandland. To say I was excited is an understatement.
I absolutely love doing DIY projects and being thrifty.
I have my own weekly link up called "I Call A Do Over" and anyone is welcome to link up every Tuesday.
We want nothing more than to be parents to babies here on Earth but so far have been blessed with 3 Angel Babies.
I recently broke my silence on being raped in an attempt to get my life back and even though I'm still a bit sick to my stomach about letting that secret out to the world, the response of love and support has been overwhelming.
I absolutely love this community I have been able to be a part of as a military spouse blogger and I couldn't imagine not having the support system and friendships I have gained.
Next week, be sure to head over to Mrs. GI Joe's blog ACU's, Stiletto Shoes, and Pretty Pink Tutu's. She's an incredibly talented writer and military spouse.
As for me, I hope that you'll stick around. Read our pages, get to know us, and don't be a creeper! Let me know who you are.
Now go share the love, link up, and visit all the other wonderful Milie bloggers!

Mil-Spouse Weekly Round-Up
Welcome to this week's edition on Mil-Spouse Weekly Round-Up. Be sure to head on over to The Whole FamDamily and check Hillary out. She's hot.
This week has been long.
Well, it's been long and short.
I'm sure most of you can relate to that feeling.
Its been jam packed with seeing family and friends, doing last minute fun things I've been meaning to do for the last five months, doing not so fun things like getting pre-roadtrip stuff done to my car, getting sick (again), and generally just stressing out at the reality of how utterly over-extended I am. That's what we do though right?
We're military spouses so doing a whole lot of crap in a short amount of time while putting our best foot forward is what we do.
I am currently completing my second all-nighter in a row and running on about 5 hours of good sleep in the last 48 hours.
Today will be a day of no rest since I've been a slacker on the packing front and I leave in about 22 hours to head back to good old South Georgia.
If you're a new Lovely here on my blog, welcome!
This is me.
This was my Lover's Day shirt and I snapped this photo for my Mr. Superman who currently resides in Assghanisand as he puts it.
He is the bomb diggity fo' sho'.
In the next two weeks or so you will all be graced with several Lovelies who are providing entertainment in the form of guest posts while I embark on my 7th cross country journey in 18 months.
Please be nice and leave them lots 'o' lovins' mmk?
I'll leave you with some pretty things and have a fabu weekend guys and dolls!

Mil-Spouse Friday Fill-in #2
Now for the weekly Mil-Spouse Fill In, head over to Wife of a Sailor's blog to get the questions and then link up.
Were you named after anyone?
No I wasn't. I remember my mom once telling me something about wanting to name me Crystal but my dad didn't like it.
What color, if any, are your toenails usually painted?
It changes really often but they are ALWAYS painted. Currently they are a very pretty shade of bronze for fall but I am getting a pedicure today.
How do you flush a public toilet? Hands? Feet? Something else?
Well when its not the automatic flushing, yes, I use my feet.
When you were a little kid, which TV character did you have a crush on?
Oh man I watched Batman, Superman, and Spiderman EVERY.SINGLE.DAY. Even though I married Mr. Superman, I have no shame in saying that I was smitten with Batman. He still is my very favorite fictional superhero. Christian Bale does nothing to hinder my twitterpated heart.
Let’s say you had to lose one of your five senses (sight, hearing, touch, taste, and smell). Which one would you choose? Why?
Without a doubt I know I'd be okay without smell. I have the strongest sense of smell of anyone I have ever met. I get more easily nauseated than a pregnant woman and we all know I'm not knocked up. As much as I'd miss sniffing my brains out at Bath and Body Works like an experimental teen huffer, throwing up because of and bugging my husband with this innately hyper-sensitive sniffer is something I'd be okay with giving up.

Mil-Spouse Friday Fill-in #20 & Mil-Spouse Weekly Round-Up
It's meme time. Yay! Be sure to head to Wife of a Sailor's blog for the Friday Fill-In and to Devil Dog Darling's blog for the Mil-Spouse Weekly Round-up
1. A different twist on last week’s question. This week, the first question is: what’s the nicest thing a MILSPOUSE has ever done for you?
I have a hard time picking just one. I can't tell you how many MilSpouse readers I have had help me out in one way or another. I had one Mil Lovely send me a beautiful custom handmade infertility and infant loss awareness bracelet the other day. Some people's kindness astounds me.
2. How often do you drive faster than the speed limit?
Well I got two tickets under the age of 18 and the points on my license made it to where I couldn't get another ticket until after I was 22 or I'd lose my license for 18 months (AZ is strict!) so rarely. I have gotten into the habit of setting my cruise control even if its only at 30 MPH. I think my exception is when I am driving cross country I'll set it to maybe 5-10 over the posted speed limit.
3. Did you have a nickname in school? If so, what was it?
Shelly, Shelly Belly, Chelle, Chelle Belle, Sis, Sister Sue...
4. If your life was a book, what would the title be and how would it end?
Up to now??? Man I don't know. I have moments where I think about the stuff going on right now and I just think about how messy things are but then I have single, glorious moments where I reflect on a smile or a kiss from Mr. Superman and I get all rainbows and unicorns happy. So, I don't know. I also don't know how it will end.
5. Look back (in your planner if you have one) to September 14th… what did you do that day?
I was in the process of finishing packing up my house in GA alongside Mr. Superman and my MIL. We were trying our hardest to enjoy every moment and soak up each other.

The Mil-Spouse Weekly Round Up #1
Hey ya'll!
I am so stoked its Friday. Seriously.
It is also the kick off of a great new meme called
The Mil-Spouse Weekly Round Up

The Mil-Spouse Weekly Round Up
Riding the Roller Coaster had this fabulous idea last week about doing this Friday link up for Military Spouses/SO's and sharing our favorite post from the week. We are all busy and have lives outside of blogging so this is a great way to guarantee that we are all able to visit each others blogs at least once a week.

Instead of sharing my favorite post in the link up it'll be this one which is a sort of smattering of odds and ends.
If you are new to my blog, get comfy and go visit some of our pages. Its a great way to get to know us.
I have also had some absolutely fabulous Guest Bloggers recently so get caught up with them as well!
My current giveaway ends September 11th at noon EST so if you haven't entered that yet, get on it!
I posted my very first video blog or vlog if you will yesterday so if you wanna see me all awkward, take a gander!
And lastly, I wanted to share our incredible pre-deployment photos.
I know a good chunk of you have seen these on Facebook but I just had to share them on here too!
Our photographer was phenomenal and extraordinarily generous with her time, talent, and services.
Even though it was raining, and we were drenched from sweat, we had a blast and all of the photos turned out perfect.
The gnats were annoying but the fabulous photo op with the moving train made up for it and the fact that she totally got us and was able to make Mr. Superman smile a genuine smile, made me love her all the more.
And to Jacquelynn, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You have no idea how much this meant to us. Thank you!!
Happy Friday!
