3) I love that I am able to beautify things and revamp old into new.

A Shepherd's Stew of a Post
This is my first "this is what we have been up to lately" post in a very very long time. I'm excited because I actually have stuff to talk about. Ha! I am such a nerd.
Well for those who are completely out of touch with everything important aka my blog, twitter and FB account who may be behind on blog reading, this last week was crazy. My car baby developed a red ant and giant black ant infestation. If only we could have fumigated. My car baby also got very sick and needed some surgery and organ transplants. I'll just say that we are extremely blessed and grateful for our families. We really are extraordinarily lucky.
I also had some ER visits and doctors appointments. I am waiting on more referrals and thanks to some fabulous advice from my friend Leman, we have some hope glimmering at the end of one of our life decision tunnels. Seriously stoked about some news and possible treatments in our future.
Saturday found us sleeping in and then venturing out to the newly remodeled and reopened base pool. Dude. It was incredible. It felt so good to swim! We then ran some errands and picked up some things from Walmart. We headed over to Leman (my good friend) and Jay (her husband)'s apartment for some hang out time. Mr. Superman and Jay went to the store and picked up lasagna, salad, cheese bread, and cheese cake which we devoured later in the night. Us girls swam and then after dinner we headed to their storage garage to dig out a fantastic dining table set they GAVE to us. They are amazing. We then swam again until the pool closed. When we left I asked if Mr. Superman had had a good time. His response? "Its so weird and a little hard to get over hanging out with a Master Sergeant." Mr. Superman is an A1C (we're newbies remember?) Yeah I suppose it is for him. Ha ha I don't see rank.
Sunday was church bright and early. I was exhausted. A touch of sunburn combined with the previous day of swimming and going to bed later than usual made for a very difficult and tiring day. I also had to work which is always blech especially on Sunday. When I came home from work I saw that my incredible husband had done the literal MOUNTAIN of laundry. All I had to do was finish folding and hanging it up. He had tackled the daunting task of separating, sorting, and getting it all right side out. He also had done the dishes and wiped down the kitchen. He got a big smooch for his amazingness. Last night was a massive storm that made it extremely difficult to fall asleep. I know I've mentioned it before but the woods behind our house attract lightning like nothing else. We counted a good seven strikes right next to the house. I hate when the house is shaking and when things fall from the shock of it all.
Today is consisting of major cleaning, finishing a project I have going on for the master bedroom, trimming the hedges and bushes out front, sweeping both patios off, spraying for bugs inside and out, weeding the front beds, catching up on my bloggy friends and trying to make sure my man is fed when he gets home. I do have a few quick things to share before I bid adieu.

MilSpouse Friday Fill In
I wanna preface this by saying WELCOME to all my new bloggy friends and followers. There are a few of you that haven't introduced yourselves. Don't be shy!! Speak up so I can come by and follow you too.
Wife of a Sailor started this oh so fab meme for Mil Spouses (significant others). To join in go check her out!!
1. What is your favorite household chore?
I love organizing and vacuuming. I enjoy most cleaning even if I put it off like crazy.
2. What is your favorite childhood memory?
I have way too many!! I love the memories I have with my sister A. She is 10 years older but my only sister. We have a lot of crazy, ridiculous, silly stories. She is one of my best friends now.
3. What is your most embarrassing moment?
I always say if I got embarrassed easily I couldn't go outside. I do some stupid ditzy things quite a bit. I can't really think of anything.
4. What uniform of your spouse’s is your favorite?
Well AF only has two (three if you count the jumpsuits). We've talked about this before and we think the AF uniforms are pathetic. I think he is incredibly sexy in uniform but with ABU sleeves rolled up is super "ooh la la" for me. I also love him in Dress Blues but they are so uncomfortable and there is never cause for him to wear them.
5. What canceled TV show do you miss the most?
Man I don't know. Do you remember that show Dinosaurs? I also grew up watching The Brady Bunch, I Love Lucy, Andy Griffith, Rescue 911, and the original On Saturday Morning cartoons. I adored Boy Meets World (my cousins wife was the main make-up artist from day one), Family Matters, and Full House.

Um, Can I Talk To You For a Minuteee??
Okay ladies lovelies, I have a story for you.
Today was pretty ridiculous.
Ridiculous would be the perfect word if it is defined by begging a friend to pick me up so I could be reunited with my car baby, discovering the red ants had gotten WORSE, driving down some back road which led me to discover the prison which was actually rather intimidating and terrifying, finally getting some progress made on dropping my summer courses because we can't afford 565 dollars worth of textbooks, and then driving home all whilst murdering the red ants that were simultaneously attacking me.
Anyway you put it, it was RIDICULOUS.
To top it all off, after returning our rental car we headed to Walmart to drop off my prescription which was acquired at last night's ER visit.
The Walmart visit in an of itself was routine.
As routine as a visit to Walmart can be that is.
While walking out, I was approached by a lovely chocolate man. He was drinking coffee and seemed a little young but lovely nonetheless.
This following conversation ensued.
"Excuse me, can I talk to you for a minute?"
"Sure."
"What's your name shorty?"
"Mrs. S."
"Hey you gotta Old Man Mrs. S?"
PAUSE
(Not because I was unsure of what an Old Man was, but because I couldn't believe I was actually getting asked that.)
"You know, like a boyfriend or someone who hollas atch you...?"
"Yeah that's actually my husband right there."
(Points to my car three feet away)
"Oh oh I see. I'm sorry. You just let him know someone else was tryin' to holla atch you and that you're looking very beautiful today."
Trying my hardest not to laugh HARD
"Okay, no problem, thanks."
This dude somehow turned THIS monstrosity
into THIS delusion
This whole scenario made me think of THIS GLORIOUS BEAUTY.
Watch it. Love it. Laugh at it.
Oh, and Happy Friday.

I'm Back (I Think)
Holy crow. It's Monday. I've been MIA since Thursday. I'm back. I think. I am not anywhere near back to 100% but tomorrow real life resumes so I better be ready by then. I have no choice.
You know I'm sick when I have no desire to look at the computer, my cell phone, or the television. You know I'm sick when I don't have a screaming emotional breakdown upon finding a huge cockroach on the ceiling. You know I'm sick when the idea of blogging makes me want to throw up {again}. You know I'm sick when I lose my marbles 6 times in 24 hours when I haven't even eaten. You know I'm sick when I get 10 hours of sleep in 72 hours. You know I'm sick when Michael Cera can't make me laugh and when Daniel Radcliffe can't make me swoon. You know I'm sick when I set my Google Reader to Mark As All Read without a second thought because the idea of 500 New is utterly overwhelming. You know I'm sick when I lose 3.5 lbs. You know I'm sick when my abs feel like I've been doing Ab Ripper X for ten days straight when in reality I haven't moved much at all. You know I'm REALLY sick when Mr. Superman can drink my cream sodas without reprimand.
My many many thanks to everyone for their love, prayers, and concern.
My apologies to my mama who heard me lose my marbles from 2, 000 miles away.
My express love and overflowing gratitude to Mr. Superman for holding my hair back, carrying me to and from bed, drawing me baths, doing countless loads of laundry, cleaning the kitchen, rubbing my back, making me oatmeal, and most of all for not losing his patience with me. He is truly incredible.
I am so extraordinarily blessed.
POST EDIT: Don't forget about the fabulous giveaway by my Blogging BFF Nicole. PLEASE tell her I sent you!!
