I got into a discussion with a fellow Milie this past weekend.
It was about Lover's Day.
Most of you Lovelies know how I feel about Lover's Day.
I think its kind of ridiculous the over-commercialization and how much time and money it wastes.
I wrote all about it here.
Anyway, she was almost indecently offended at my disinterest in the holiday.
I don't think it helped that I concluded the conversation with,
"Seriously, the only good thing about that day is an extra excuse to get laid. That's probably the reason I hated it even more this year. No action for me."
Can I get a True That?

ahahahaha! so very true, it's a total commercialized holiday. i understand it's a moment to perhaps declare your love, but as for SHOWING your love? that should happen everyday. you should keep the romance going regardless. and it always seems like everyone tries to one up each other, "well my hubby loves me so much he got me a porscha for valentine's day" Oh ya? well mine got me a ferrari and 500 rose boquet. ahahaha, you know what i mean?
i dunno i see how people love it, but mostly i think it should be shown everyday, if it's an excuse for my husband to buy me diamonds i won't complain, but still...i'd rather have the time and sweetness of his company.
totally agree as well! Valentines day to us is just an excuse for a dinner out...and some naughty play time in bed ;)
hahaha! that's so funny!!!
lol. I'm a romantic, so I still adore Valentine's Day {especially when the hubs actually gets into it} but I totally love that. And even if I choose not to admit it, I know it's true :)
Completely on the same page--it's a regular day for me.
I don't LOVE V-Day but I don't hate it either. An excuse for flowers and chocolate? Yes please! And of course the guaranteed sex!!
I agree with you though. This year SUCKED. The not getting laid is possibly the worst part. Some days, I'm really tempted to post "I MISS SEX" on Twitter and FB. I don't because, welll.... =P But, ain't it the truth?!
True that! Love the picture. :)
Hahahaha! I don't really subscribe to Valentine's Day either. Love that card!
