A Little Late Jumping on the Band Wagon...

That's me. I know its the day before Halloween but I finally found a layout I loved. I tried changing it a couple times but once they were posted I thought they were so ugly. Its like when I go shopping and find stuff that looks so cute on the rack then I try it on only to find its completely unflattering.
So my nausea continues and people keep telling me to take a pregnancy test. Trust me guys, that thought hit me and I already did. Had it been positive I wouldn't be complaining about being sick. I'd actually have a reason behind it. That and we would've told everyone by now. We are no good at secrets.
Quick update on Mr. Superman. He finally got his application sent off to University of Utah (thank you so much Robyn, MIL). He also took the initiative and applied for the Western States Exchange. Its a program that a lot of the Western states universities offer students if they are transferring from one Western state to another. Its a ploy to keep students from going back East for school. The incentive is that you get close to in state tuition which ends up being almost a five grand difference per semester. Since we will be new to Utah we applied for this to save money. By the time we qualify for in state tuition Loverface will be done with school. In December he only has a year and a half left! We also applied for a ton of scholarships so everyone cross your fingers and pray for us!
That's about it. Mr's professor was nice enough to give him the night off tomorrow so we are going over to Amber's house (I know big surprise right) along with almost my whole family for dinner and Halloween festivities. I will try to be sure to get some pictures. We love you all!

Nothing of Note

So I've been needing to post but I have absolutely nothing to say. Nothing. Zip, zilch, nada.
Mr. Superman and I voted early. We mailed in our ballots about a week ago. We've also been trying to get things together for my mom's garage sale. I've been putting it off because that means going through boxes and cleaning and that all leads to starting to pack and I'm dreading it.
I've also been fighting some kind of flu bug the last couple of days. I had been doing so well lately, no more passing out, not too bad with the migraines... then about four days ago I ate and about an hour later got really sick. I though it was the food but then the next time I ate it happened again. So for about four days now, every time I eat, I get extremely nauseous but I'm able to keep it down. Good right? Well I dread eating but as things tend to go for me, if I don't eat something worse happens. I get dizzy then like last night, I pass out. It is no fun and it is a vicious circle but I know it'll go away. It has to right?
That's really about it. Hope all is well with you all!

Happy Anniversary to Us!!

Well it's been one year today that Loverface and I said, "I do." We are so happy and had a wonderful day yesterday.
The day started off bright and early with getting our pictures done. Carrie (Mr. Superman's sister) did a wonderful job. After that we had our nephew Jacob's baptism. It was so special, and we all went to my sister's house afterwards for an AMAZING brunch. It was such a good day.
After dinner, the Mr. surprised me and took me to Build A Bear to make a bear to commemorate our anniversary. Let me tell you, those people take their jobs very seriously. So here are some pictures of our busy and fun filled day yesterday.

A Baby Named Aiden

Aiden is our little buddy. We are so attached to him and can't even imagine being away from him for so long when we move. We love all of our nieces and nephews but we have been so close to Aiden since he was born. He is such a cute little boy and he has started to get his stinker pot side.
I have some pictures and a video of him. He has been saying a few words here and there and I have been trying SO hard to get him to say my name before we move. He's so ornery and thinks its funny to say different words instead of Auntie Chelle. The other pictures are from him laying on the table, sitting on the toilet and from our trek out with Nana (my BIL Jeff's mom) to Deseret Book and Elephant Bar today. The pictures where he is making a funny face is because he was chomping down on some lemon rinds. He is such a crack up.
He definitely keeps us all on our toes and no matter what he does, his blue eyes and baby smile make up for it all.

Domestic Diva? Only when I'm With My Sister

Alright for all of you who know me, you know that when I got married I didn't cook. At all. I was capable, I just hated doing it. Not my thing at all. Mr. Superman can attest to the fact that I cook though. I do it quite a bit. I bake every once in a while too.
Well since we're moving soon and I fall under the currently unemployed bracket, I spend most of my time with my sister Amber. She is ten years older than me but we're still pretty close. Aiden is her youngest, the baby Loverface and I are extremely attached to. The other day we did some grocery shopping then made some yummy salsa, breakfast burritos and pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. Everything turned out so so good and I took pictures to prove that I actually cooked!
I also helped do Halloween decorations and I mastered the spiderwebs outside. I don't have a house to decorate so I help Amber out whenever I can. Whenever we get together we make at least one Sonic run. We love our Route 44 Dr. Pepper. The picture of Abby (her 3rd child) is of her princess hair. I did her hair fancy and she looked so pretty so I took a picture.

If you couldn't tell, I'm a McCain supporter

I know it's probably getting old but I am trying to share as much as I can that I think is important. Be informed guys. Pay attention and most importantly please please please VOTE!!

What's in the heart comes out via the tongue! This is from Rush Limbaugh's radio show yesterday.

"Hey, folks, you want to tweak the Drive-By Media with me right now? You are aware, probably, that Barack Obama lost his bearings recently and said that he was going to campaign in all 57 states. You heard this? And most everybody chalked it up to, 'Well, he's tired.'

You know, this is a Dan Quayle moment. I mean, Dan Quayle goes out there and misspells 'potato,' and we still hear jokes about it. Barack Obama says he's gonna go out and campaign in 57 states! He was just tired, you know, it's been such a long campaign, he's been so many places, he probably thinks there are.

Well, I have here a printout from a web site called the International Humanist and Ethical Union. And here is how the second paragraph of an article on that website begins.

'Every year from 1999 to 2005 the organization of the Islamic conference representing the 57 Islamic states presented a resolution to the United Nations Commission on human rights called combating.'

Obama said he's going to campaign in 57 states, and it turns out that there are 57 Islamic states. There are 57 Islamic states!

So did Obama just lose his bearings, or was this a more telling slip, ladies and gentlemen?"

Another slip Obama made on a news interview was after he so called "changed" his religion. I don't think he changed from Muslim to Christian because he disagreed with the religious leader. I think he realized, "Oh it's not really all that politically correct to be running fro American President if I am Muslim." Maybe? Well in that news interview shortly after he switched religions he was asked a question about how his religious beliefs coincide or conflict with running a country. He fumbled on his response and first referred to his Muslim beliefs then attempting at a cover up coughed a little then said, "I mean my Christian beliefs.." Hint Hint people.

For those that know me well know that I attended Heritage Academy for Junior High and High School. You would also know that all of the textbooks used were written from a Christian perspective and that all of our classes were taught in correspondence to the teachings of the Founding Fathers and the CORRECT way the government SHOULD be run. I took a government class that was amazing. In one of my other history classes we studied a book titled The Law by Frédéric Bastiat. It is a wonderful book that holds so many truths and principles that American Government has molested and lost sight of. Not only that but the people of America have given them that power. It makes me sick to think of how repugnant the American government has become.
In this 'very important' election year, listen closely to what the candidates are promising you - just maybe, you will be able to tell who is about to slam the gate on a free America.
'A government big enough to give you everything you want, is big enough to take away everything you have.'

I Love My Parents!

So yesterday, Mr. Superman and I were talking about growing up in our families and things we're really wanting to instill into our own kids.

Well this is kind of an 'ode to my parents'. I was such a brat. I put my parents through so much stress and worry that was completely unnecessary. My parents were really supportive of me when I tried to get my life back on track and helped me out when I moved to Safford, AZ to try to start over.

They both have many strong points that I try hard to emulate and hold dear to me. My mom really is such a great friend to me. My dad especially was always the kind of man that I knew held the same values and traits that I wanted in my husband. I got them all in Loverface thank goodness. I was looking through some old pictures of me and my mama and my daddy and I just wanted to share them with you all.

The man that I look nothing alike but from whom I got everything.

My daddy still surprises me every once in a while. Whether he's cracking a joke, coming up with a new word (saying disgusting to EVERYTHING), or acting goofy. He always brings a smile to my face and he is always there to answer my questions and help me out.

My mom has always been so great to me. She even gave up her 30th wedding anniversary Hawaii trip to help plan my wedding.

I have great parents.

We love being an Uncle and Auntie! There's so many cute kiddies in my family thanks to my sister and brothers. Here are pictures of two of our nephews whom are not in the family picture at our wedding.
Tanner is the cute blonde one.The picture was from back in May of this year. Mr. Superman & I sat with Tanner at the temple and took him to the Visitor's Center when Katie (SIL) & Jared (Brother) were going through to get sealed (LDS ceremony).

The other two are of Mr. Superman and I taking our turns holding the newest addition to the Organ family. Parker Scott is Jared & Katie's newest. He was born August 6th. What can we say? We have the cutest nephews & nieces ever.

Waiting for it to all come together... Anytime now, really.

Well, for starters, for those of you who are a bit behind the times, I do not have a job. I had been working for a great family and then the economy hit them like it hit everyone else and they had to let me go. A nanny is a luxury, not a mandatory, vital part of life. I was sad but I got hired on to the University of Phoenix. It really was a blessing but after I began working there I realized that the majority of the stuff that I had been told, the stuff that made me want to work there, was more or less a big fat lie. A ruse to get me to accept the position. Magical words to get me suckered into something I wouldn't have even glanced twice at had I known the truth. Anyways, I was planning on sticking it out for at least six months to see if I could get a promotion or move to a different department.

The last straw really came when Mr. Superman and I got the call about Grandpa. I had actually been at home with a HORRIBLE flu bug when he came home and told me what had happened. So after packing, making phone calls, and beginning our drive to Utah I FINALLY got a call back from my guy Brian that managed my file at the temp agency I was hired through. He offered me his condolences then proceeded to say and I quote, "I just got off the phone with the head of HR and he told me to pass along to you that since you are new and still on contract hire you do not get bereavement time. If you are not at work tomorrow they will be forced to terminate you." Silence, (in my head I'm screaming four letter words). "Brian, don't worry about it." "So you'll be there?" "No, I guess I resign." A great little additive to our trip right? Well to be completely honest I didn't think about it much. It really was the least of our worries.

At the risk of sounding full of myself I will have to say that I consider myself pretty well qualified for a range of different jobs and positions. I have been a nanny and I am damn good at that. I can type fast, am extremely organized (talking OCD here), self starter, punctual, fast learner, all that jazz. I am a great people person, patient... blah blah blah etc. I CANNOT FIND A JOB! It is absolutely ridiculous. I send out my resume to a MINIMUM ten new places every day. And believe it or not I am not being picky in the slightest bit. I am applying for any and all nanny, secretary, personal assistant, customer service, receptionist positions I can find. Ranging from part time to full time and from 8 dollars an hour to 35,000 a year. It's so frustrating to not even hear back from anywhere. Really, it's giving me a complex. The fact that we got this scholarship can't be coming at a better time especially since no one wants me.

I just keep questioning and praying and thinking and questioning and praying and thinking over and over and over again and nothings happening. A big fat nothing. It's not just the job thing. A few of you may know what I am referring to when I say its discouraging to me that I am doing all that I can and more and nothing is happening. January was a REALLY rough month and I really don't ever want to go through that again. I can't help but feel like a complete failure and when I get down about it, Mr. Superman gets down about it and then we both have a couple down days, pray, get our resolve back for a while and then the cycle repeats. I know that this particular weakness is definitely something Satan feeds off of. He knows how much it affects me and He then uses it against me in other areas of my life and relationships. I know this and yet when I'm feeling down I tend to forget that I know that and I get nowhere.

I was thinking today about everything. I mean everything going on in our lives from the very tiniest most minuscule details to the big ones like us making a HUGE move.

I do appreciate all of the love and support we get from our family and friends. It helps more than you know. I promise to have a more upbeat post next time!!

Big News!!

So Mr. Superman & I finally received some really exciting news that we've been waiting for for quite some time now.... Is everyone ready? Mr. Superman was FINALLY awarded his scholarship! I know what you're thinking, big news, yeah right. Well it's big to us! We've been waiting since July for this. Having to make payments towards his tuition was literally sucking us dry but he found out today he got it. It is a huge load off of our minds and eases so much stress, especially with all of the upcoming moving expenses. We're so happy about it and know it is a wonderful blessing from the Lord.

Another thing I had wanted to share happened a few weeks ago. When we got back from Utah a couple weeks ago we came home to an unbelievably ginormous stack of bills. Fun, fun, fun! We were praying and praying that we'd be able to pay them all. I had a strong feeling that we needed to post Mr. Superman's dirt bike on Craigslist. We had been trying to sell it for almost a year and Loverface was pretty doubtful. All I said was we need to try again. Right now. So we did. Not even twenty minutes later did I go check his email (he was at school) and there was five responses/offers. I got so excited and responded to all of them. We ended up selling it two days later and got double what we had expected for it. We were able to pay everything we needed to and that was another huge blessing for us. I know this scholarship is too. There were a lot of qualifications to meet and not many people were going to be chosen. I am so so so grateful for the blessings we get! That's our big news. Ha, I know its not nearly as big as Gin's (my sister in law just found out she's expecting their fourth) but its big to us!
