Ok first off I completely adore you. Just so you know. And then, I have to say that I think some of those stereotypes are given not just to mil-wives, but also to any significant other. I was told that while my now ex-bf was in Cuba that I was cheating on him because how could anyone be expected to be faithful when their man is gone so long. I heard the same things when Mr. Canada left. Yet last time I checked I never cheated on anyone.

And while I think stereotypes are wrong in general, I do believe that there is sometimes basis in fact. I know many a military marriage that has failed due to the cheating wife factor (cough*Sugar britches*couch). it's just sad to think that people have such a low opinion of military SO's sometimes. Get to know us, we're kinda normal!

Your so cute. this was really interesting to watch and hear from you since I don't really ever hear you go into so much with the whole family around. Sad to see you go back so soon but so excited for you to back where you belong with Cody. It seems like you just got here. Bust surely it must seem like you've been here forever.
Love ya.

Yes Yes Yes I love that you said its a mutant version of gossip! Just because someone somewhere saw a military spouse do X,Y, and Z that everyone does it. I love your sarcasm with this I was thinking the same thing when someone legitimately told me that because I'm an army officers wife I shouldn't be talking to an enlisted wife... In front of the women! She went on to say that I was disgracing all that was tradition among wives. I told her please tell whats wrong with talking to her? "insert more BS about how she was uneducated yada yada yada." I responded by asking my friend what she did for a living. "I'm an ER Doctor" Really so 8 years of a well used and expensive education and you have the nerve to call her uneducated? What is that you do? She walked away cause shes a stay at home wife, no kids. We just laughed after she walked away.

I really loved your vlog about the stereotypes within the military. The only we can solve them is if we eliminate them within the military community.

The only area I had to disagree with you was when you discussed the TV show "Army Wives." While it is a TV drama, it does show a lot that goes on within the military community. There aren't a lot of cheating spouses in the 4 season span of the episodes (maybe two or three).

I'm so glad you participated, Mrs. S! The sarcasm throughout was making me laugh. Great vlog. I enjoyed your well thought out definition and origination of stereotypes.

Love this!! My family seems to think that we are loaded because The Hubble is an officer in the Army. Ummm...no?? And sorry people, the military pays the same thing if you have 1 dependent or 10...you don't get more for each dependent.

I tried watching that Army Wives show once. I made it through about 10 minutes but it made me so mad that I turned it off and have never watched it again. I agree...ridiculous!
