There is one quote that I heard from a friend's dad when I was nine years old that has stuck with me through my life. Of course there were the times when I hated that it stuck with me but in the end I always knew the truth of it and realized the importance of understanding and believing. There is also a favorite scripture of mine that goes hand in hand with it and I'll share that too.
"Adversity is mandatory, misery is optional."
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
What is your favorite?

What a lovely quote and how true... :) Plus, I just am loving your blog!!!
"Adversity is mandatory, misery is optional." LOVE IT!
I'd have to say my favorite is one I heard all the time growing up and one I use all the time since becoming a mil spouse. (Don't know who originally said it.)
Everything happens for a reason.
I have two:
-"On the ladder of success, never let the men look up your skirt!"
-Well behaved women rarely make history."
I haven't heard this quote before, but I absolutely love it and agree 100% with it. Love the bible verse, too :)
My favorite is "We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence in not an act but a habit." which I actually had on the bathroom mirror in the Chandler house!
I don't know a favorite quote, but I definitely love the one you put up! Thanks for sharing...I'll have to think about what my favorite quote is. There are so many!
